What better way to jump start a career in film production than to get hands-on experience with an internship?

Our production interns are high-school and college students seeking to enhance their skills and film credit through various duties in visual media such a performing administrative duties, or working on set in support of our film crew. Some instances, interns run errands for crew and/or talent.

One requirement is that interns are enrolled in at least one degree program with flexibility and strong interest in the film industry. Interns are best suited with strong organizational and communication skills, abilities to solve unique problems and a sheer desire to succeed.

With a dream to work in media production, joining Monterror Media as a production intern will enhance creative skills whilst getting involved with multiple areas of the process in film-making. Exercising multitasking abilities will assist in developing ideas, filming shots, editing, or any task required from lighting the scene, conducting research, or simply running errands. The opportunity to build relationships in the industry will strengthen chances of finding additional employment upon graduation with amazing experiences as part of our production staff.

Some of the job responsibilities of an intern for Monterror Media are not limited to:

  • Assisting production staff in developing stories for television, film, online streaming and/or other platforms.

  • Researching topics using a variety of sources, including video archives, the internet, library archives and others.

  • Communicate with writers, directors, managers and other members to ensure a smooth running of the project.

  • Supporting the staff by taking detailed notes during meetings, inputting data, etc.

  • Running errands such as purchasing supplies, props, equipment, food and other necessary items for the project.

  • Produce and edit video content that adhere to our guidelines and standards to share.

  • Provide assistance including sound, lighting, camera, editing and post production.

  • Perform other duties as requested by staff to ensure all necessary tasks are performed in a proficient manner that adheres to the quality expected from the company.

While some jobs may seem inconsequential, our interns understand their value and appreciation throughout every production and we couldn’t be happier without them.
